Iveta Axamitová

 

Ivett Axamitová was born on 11th March 1967 in Bratislava. She gained her first experience in the local art school in Bratislava. Then she studied at the School of Ceramics in Modra where she acquired craftsmanship under the guidance of Professor Julius Polkoráb. After that she continued her studies at the School of Artistic Industry in Bratislava under the guidance of Professor Ambroz Pajdlhauser. Many thanks belong to doc. Since 1991 Ivett has been a freelance artist. Her artistic activity is extremely extensive both in her own country and abroad. Her artworks are on display in the Vatican collections, galleries as well as private collections in France, Italy, Croatia, Austria, Poland, Denmark, Canada, the USA, Australia, Switzerland, Israel, Germany and the Czech Republic. 

She is the creator of the major artworks in the church of St. Gorazd in Vrbové (14 Stations of the Cross, the statue of Virgin Mary and the crib). Her works can also be found in the church in Nimnice where she has created the relief of Holy Family and the Stations of the Cross and an altar painting in the chapel in Jabloňové.

Ivett Axamitová lives and works in her studios in Ivanka pri Dunaji and Topoľčany.
